MICHAEL GORDON — PRODUCER

Michael was born the son of a hairdresser in London in 1951. He began his career at the age of fifteen as an apprentice at Rene of Mayfair, a grand salon in the center of London--an experience that changed his life. He is the Founder of the Bumble and bumble salon, product company, and hairdressing school in New York City. In 2001, he wrote "Hair Heroes," a collection of interviews of the 20th centuries' most influential hairdressers, where he first met his own hero, Vidal Sassoon.

CRAIG TEPER — DIRECTOR

After years of working in production on independent feature films, commercials and shorts, Craig began directing film projects for a variety of clients. He served as Director of New Media at Bumble and bumble, where he shot and directed dozens of marketing, education and documentary films, including several featuring Vidal Sassoon. In addition to Vidal Sassoon The Movie, Craig is currently directing a feature documentary about a moonwalking Apollo astronaut and several short projects.

JACKIE GILBERT BAUER — PRODUCER

At the age of seventeen, Jackie moved from her hometown of Miami, Florida to live in NYC as a prima ballerina of the prestigious American Repertory Ballet. Although dance was Jackie's first love, an injury forced her to consider other options, bringing her to the beauty industry where she worked at the Estee Lauder Companies, and ultimately to Bumble and bumble, where she first met Michael Gordon. She has worked with Michael in many capacities for nearly seven years and is now the Producer of Vidal Sassoon The Movie.

STEVE HIETT — ART DIRECTOR

Steve Hiett is trained in painting, graphic arts, photography and music, and even made his way as a guitarist in various bands over the years. However in 1966, he discovered fashion photography, and went on to become one of the most renowned photographers of the Seventies and Eighties, working for Nova, English Vogue, Queen Magazine, French Vogue and Marie Claire. He has also directed numerous TV commercials, and served as Art Director for G.V.C, select fashion magazines, and notably, Arthur Elgort's "Model Manual." Steve and Michael Gordon first collaborated in 2001 on the book "Hair Heroes," and are now working together again on Vidal Sassoon The Movie and accompanying book. Today, Steve lives in Paris and works as a graphic designer for various clients in the fashion industry.

HEATHER GORDON — WRITER

Since childhood, Heather has always been a passionate reader. After graduating with a degree from Barnard College in English Literature, she moved to her birthplace, South Africa, to spend the next five years working in publishing in Cape Town. More recently, she worked as a chief copywriter at Bumble and bumble, overseeing Bb. Press, a division responsible for the writing, design and publication of the legendary Hair Stories magazines. For the three years, she has been working on the script for Vidal Sassoon The Movie, as well as copy for the accompanying book.

JIM CZARNECKI — Executive Producer

Jim Czarnecki has a long and prestigeous list of films to his credit, having served as Producer of Fahrenheit 9/11 (Winner, Palme d'Or Cannes Film Festival 2004), and Bowling for Columbine (Winner, Academy Award Best Documentary Feature 2003). He served as Executive Producer on Love Liza starring Philip Seymour Hoffman (Winner, Best Screenplay Sundance Film Festival 2002). Other film credits include: BIGGER STRONGER FASTER, Julien Donkey Boy, Sid and Nancy, Canadian Bacon, The Big One, and Soundtrack for a Revolution (Premiere, Tribecca Film Festival 2009; Official Selection Cinema du la Plage, Cannes Film Festival 2009; Nomination, Academy Award 2009; Nomination Producer's Guild of America Award 2009; Nominaton, Writers Guild of America Award 2009). In addition to working as an actor, Jim was an Executive Producer at Ridley Scott & Associates from 1999 to 2002, where he produced television commercial projects with Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Chris Cunningham, and Jake Scott, among others. Currently, he is a partner in Maximum Entertainment Films, a television commercial production company that represents Harris Savides, Zoe Cassevetes, Eddy Moretti of VICE, and others for commercial work. His next documentary project is EXPORTING RAYMOND being shot in Moscow and directed by Phil Rosenthal.
